Welcome To Our September Newsletter

Welcome to another issue of our newsletter.

September is the time of year that players and parents should begin thinking about next season and those down the road ….. what is possible and what options should be carefully considered….

Over the years, we have seen so many young hockey players jump at (what they believed) was the best place to play hockey, just to find out that it actually took them future away from ever being able to leverage their hockey skills to achieve other life-skills and objectives.

People ask how we can help?

In our consulting business, we take a long-term approach to helping players set goals, and help them make the best decisions to help them achieve those goals.

We know which programs are looking for which types of players,,,, for next year, for the year after…. and for most years through until 2022. That’s right…. this past summer we were able to help a 13 year player identify where he will play college hockey in 2022, and we were able to get the NCAA Division I program to commit to him already.

To ensure that he will be ready to play there, and receive a fully funded college degree from one of the top universities in the country, we have mapped out his likely road map for the next six years.

It was Lewis Carroll, the author of ” Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland”, and its sequel “Through the Looking-Glass”, in the 19th century who said “If you don’t know where you are going, any road will get you there.

It’s as true today as it was back then…. maybe more so…..

This is the first day of the rest of your (or your son’s) hockey career (for the lack of a better word), and it is possible for you to grab a hold of the process and manage it, rather than the other way around.

Everyday, we help players make decisions that will help them achieve their life goals. We hel[ promote there academic and athletic credentials to schools and clubs at the next level(s).

We know the programs out there, we know which midget programs, prep schools and junior programs to avoid…., and we know how to maximize exposure to the proper programs.

Eleanor Roosevelt once said, “Learn from the mistakes of others. You can’t live long enough to make them all yourself. ”

Through our consulting services, you could put the experience of hundreds of other players to use for you.

We have done this for a long time, and have helped hundreds of players over the years.

If you think we can help you, please fo not hesitate to send us an email at info@hockeyfamilyadvisor.com

Hope you have a great season,

Sincerely,

David MacDonald, SPAD
